A list of Victorian Governors.
Charles La Trobe was appointed Superintendent of Port Phillip District on 3 October 1839. He remained in that position until his appointment as Lieutenant-Governor of the new Colony of Victoria on 1 July 1851. La Trobe was never Governor of Victoria, as that office was not established until 1855.
The first Governor of Victoria was Charles Hotham, who was Lieutenant-Governor from 22 June 1854 to 21 May 1855, before becoming Governor.
I look forward to celebrating and facilitating, in any way that I can, all the individuals, organisations, businesses and communities that show courage by combining in the quest for unity and togetherness, and who work tirelessly for peace and prosperity in this, our wonderful State of Victoria.
